This project highlights our capabilities in zinc alloy die casting for producing compact, high-precision parts used in the RF (Radio Frequency) industry. The component shown is the zinc die-cast part of an F-type coaxial connector, commonly used in cable TV, satellite, and broadband internet applications.
The client required a custom zinc alloy body for an F Connector with the following specs:
High dimensional accuracy
Clean internal threading or precise openings
Excellent surface conductivity
Corrosion resistance for long-term outdoor use
Cost-effective for mass production
Very small size with detailed threading and tight tolerances
Requirements for high-volume consistency
Surface finish needed to meet both functional and cosmetic standards
Material: Zamak 3 Zinc Alloy
Process: High-precision hot-chamber die casting
Mold Design: Optimized for uniform metal flow and minimal shrinkage
Post-processing: Shot blasting and chromate treatment to enhance corrosion resistance
Inspection: 100% dimensional check for threading accuracy
Achieved production of over 50,000 units/month
<0.3% defect rate
Threads fit precisely with matching coaxial nuts
Clients reported excellent field performance and ease of assembly
